    Hey guys! (And congrats, Brian!)

I like the new scene! However, I think you should get Little Mushroom involved sooner. You don’t want to wait too long to introduce your main protagonist.

My suggestion: let Little Mushroom find Marco on the couch, but let one of the other sidekicks come up with the idea for the fundraiser. That way you bring a little focus to her early on, but you can still have her be less confident by just going along with the others.

Just an idea! Hope it helps! The show keeps getting better!

  2. Molly says:

I think it makes sense to have the sidekicks come up with the fundraiser idea as their whole goal in life is to help their hero. As long as Little Mushroom isn’t the one to come up with the idea originally, but rather just goes along with the other sidekicks, I think it will work out. Maybe she tries to say something, but the other sidekicks are too excited so they keep talking over her and don’t hear her (just like everyone else).

I couldn’t help but think that after a great opening song, the show goes backward for too long with this new seen and loses focus. Agree with the above comment that it might take too long to introduce the protagonist. If you do a flashback like this, maybe keep it super short and witty? Or if you want to go from side kick, to villain, to hero as you described in your podcast as they all come together… why not start the show like that, and THEN go into the opening number? This might have a better flow.
